Mental Health education and training activities at the Southern Regional Area Health Education Center (SR-AHEC) reflect the mission and goals of the North Carolina AHEC Program, the Southern Regional AHEC’s Strategic Plan, and the NC AHEC Mental Health Four-Year Plan.
The scope of these activities includes:
Duke University Medical Center, through its subcontract with the Southern Regional AHEC, continues to support the programs and activities.
In addition, Mental Health Education conducts programs and activities in cooperation with other educational and service institutions, which further enhance its response to local changes in health workforce and educational needs.
Counties served: Bladen, Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Moore, Richmond, Robeson, Sampson, and Scotland.
